Directions

On leaving Faro airport take the new motorway the IP 22 and follow the directions to Vilamoura/Portimao. Stay on the motorway and exit at junction 3 marked Odiaxere and Mexilhoiera. On approaching the first round about go straight over and continue until you reach the second round about, here take the first turning on your right marked Odiaxere. Drive approx 2 km and you drive into Odiaxere and in the middle there is a set of traffic lights, here turn right. Follow the road through the town where you will pass a windmill on your right. The road here goes straight or curves round to the left, there is a sign marked Barragem follow the road to the left. 1.3km down this road there is an old ruin on the left hand side of the road with no roof, and a bus stop and our sign on the right. Take this road through the riverbed and right to the top where we have a covered car park to the right and welcome to Quinta das Achadas
